Traveling Cars Adventures | Designing Fever Magazine

I found Kim’s work on Instagram and was instantly hooked to her Traveling Cars Adventures series. As she says at her website, the series shows her little toy cars in dramatic situations. And I gotta say it is hard for you not to fall in love with her toy cars and embark on their journey.

Kim is currently lives in London where she is studying Photography at the University of the Arts London. Her pictures are delicate and inspiring. You can totally put together a whole background story for her little cars. I’m a total fan of her pics and I had to share them here with you. Take a look!

My name is Kim Leuenberger, I was born in 1992 in the North West of Switzerland in a region called Jura. As the regions is quite small and lost in between two chains of mountains, I started to travel a lot around Europe, hungry to discover more of the world and be a real explorer. I always liked photography and started it at a very young age, however I only owned my own dslr for my nineteenth Birthday. It has been love at first sight with a little nikon d3100. Almost 2 years I’ve upgraded to a Canon 5d mark iii and learned all I know about photography by myself, by reading magazines or websites. I now use a range of different cameras to capture the car series, with an Olympus EM5 mkII and sometimes a LeicaQ.

I love being creative with my photography as well as documenting the life around me. I love making objects and tell a story through my pictures, music is my biggest inspiration, I named many of my pictures after songs of my favorite artists (Mumford and Sons, Ben Howard, etc..)
